Hurrican Irene

On Sunday, August 28, 2011 our area was struck hard by Hurricane Irene. These photos I took the following day, when a lot of flooding occurred--right in my neighborhood. We were very fortunate. Our backyard and basement were flooded. The water in the backyard stopped about 5 feet away from our house. Other people in our neighborhood were not so lucky. Three houses on the next street over were completely destroyed.
